At Big Country Raw, our goal is to use real, fresh ingredients as much as possible! Because of this, we have to account variability in our raw ingredients, including seasonal and supply variation. The value we share take that variability into account, and because of that, we test our ingredients and recipes regularly.
Disclaimer: Big Country Raw® follows the Minimal Requirement (Amount/1000kcal for Growing Kittens After Weaning & Adults Cats) suggested by The Nutrient Requirement for Dogs and Cats by the National Research Council (NRC).
Add Thrive® Herring Oil (the popular choice) or alternatively Thrive® Hemp Seed Oil (plant-based option) for Omega-3 Fatty Acids. Omega-3 Fatty Acids may improve the shine and luster of the coat, reduce inflammation and aid in the absorption and distribution of essential nutrients.

Wow ! Succès immédiat pour nos chats ! Ils sont fou de poisson alors la sardine apporte sûrement une bonne saveur pour eux tout en comblant les besoins en oméga3.

My fussy eater came to me as a kibble junky from my local shelter. He is a sucker for anything fishy but dislikes chicken and lamb… so getting multiple healthy protein sources into him (that doesn’t involve kibble) can be a challenge – he turns his nose up at all those expensive canned foods I purchased… then along comes Big Country Raw, he loves all the Fare Game recipes – which work out cheaper than the fancy canned food I was buying – and now the new Turkey and Sardines with Beef recipe has added to his repertois… now the challenge is getting him to stop asking ‘please sir, can I have some more’… Big Country Raw, Oggy is your number 1 fan!

My three Raggies LOVE this one! And I have one particular fussy eater, so this is a big win. I always add some of the goat’s milk on it. They LOVE it!

This flavour is a hit as well! We were giving our rescued kitty and her babies the Chicken/Salmon/Beef, which they really enjoy. I wanted make sure thay had a variety of proteins in their diet, so I tried this flavour. They love it! Now they have chicken, turkey, salmon, sardine, and beef. I like that I don’t have to add any supplements to these two flavours but I do add just a few drops of fish oil blend for a little bit extra Omega 3. It’s actually getting more difficult to find these flavours in my local pet food stores now. I bought 3 boxes (2 chicken blend, 1 turkey blend) last week. I was going to buy a couple more boxes of turkey blend now that I know they like it. All sold out! Both the chicken blend and turkey blend gone! I checked online 2 other stores in the area who carry BCR and they are sold out as well! I have enough to do them a while. They are on a partial raw diet for now. Breakfast is Boreal canned cat food and I leave them a small bowl of Orijen kitten kibble for overnight nibbles, but BCR for supper is their favourite meal of the day.

This one is a treat and a half for our senior Maine Coon! He was a long time kibble junky, but the switch to raw has made him calmer, sharper of mind, and put more pep in his step when we’re playing. Even in just a short time feeding, he has already started to slim down a bit (needed for our big chonker). Highly recommend!
