I have been feeding my dogs a home made raw diet for a long time and they seemed to be lower energy than normal. I started supplementing with fortify and they seem to have really gotten their energy back. I highly recommend this product. The kelp is even 100% Canadian sourced from the Bay of Fundy.

I have been giving this to my almost 15 year old dog who has cancer in his small intestine. That causes Protein-Losing Enteropathy in him and it results in a loss of vitamin and mineral absorption in his food.
His vet put him on a fantastic probitotic, which has helped but after a loud a year, I decided to add Thrive Fortify in his food along with the prebiotic.
My dog is a different dog after 3 weeks on Fortify! He has always had a playful nature but he has become weaker from his intestinal problem. But now after the 3 weeks of being on Fortify, he is running around like when he was 2, when I first adopted him! He plays and runs so much that I can’t catch him.
I suspect that the enzymes are what is making the difference, but maybe it is also the grasses and other vitamins. I’m so happy to see him so happy and healthy!

Smells amazing!! Picky dog didn’t mind having it mixed to her food. Now it’s the wait and see time. Will give an update later.

Sadly this product made my dog very itchy. My dog eats mostly pure formulas by Big country raw and Raw performance. My dog is allergic to beef so most complete meals have beef tripe added, therefore pure formulas work best. I read fortify is great to add into when feeding pure formulas aswell as herring oil (herring oil has been amazing by thrive). Unfortunately I had to stop with the fortify because my dog became so itchy and had a lot of dandruff from the product. I gave it to my mother in law to try with her 2 dogs when she feed pure formulas and the same thing, very itchy. I will give it 3 stars because I am sure it works well for other dogs but I had a bad experience 🙁

Hi Jayme, Thanks for your input. Fortify does contain some ingredients that can be allergens for dogs (kelp being a common one). We have launched a new product, Fortify RX, which could work for your dog. https://bigcountryraw.ca/product/thrive-fortify-rx/

Our cats eat it and are doing well on it. We do find it really expensive for what it is. The required amount per lbs doubled with no explanation recently, even though it claimed to meet NRC requirements to begin with? I’d love for that to be explained. Specifically, it used to be 1tsp per 40lbs, and it is now 2tsp per 40lbs.

Hi Seb, This product should not be used with any Dinner Formulations or Fare Game as they are NRC balanced and complete nutrition. Fortify is only to be used with our Pure and Blend menu items. I hope that helps.
