At Big Country Raw, our goal is to use real, fresh ingredients as much as possible! Because of this, we have to account variability in our raw ingredients, including seasonal and supply variation. The value we share take that variability into account, and because of that, we test our ingredients and recipes regularly.
Safe Handling Instructions:
Frozen Quail Eggs for pet consumption. Can be kept frozen for two years from time of packaging. Once thawed eggs can be stored in your refrigerator for up to 4 weeks.
Serving Instructions:
Freezing eggs will cause the outer shell to crack, but often the membrane will not break. We suggest thawing eggs in refrigerator in a glass dish, as leaking is possible. Once thawed, add raw egg(s) to your pet’s meal as a daily addition or special treat.

We are just thrilled that Big Country Raw is now offering Quail Eggs! They are the perfect size for dogs small and large, and are an excellent alternative to chicken eggs! They have thinner/softer shells then chicken eggs so feel free to feed them whole or crushed! They can also be fed frozen or thawed. Plus at 18 in a carton for less than $4, that is a wicked deal!

I love the quail eggs! They are so easy to throw onto my dog’s meals and he eats the entire thing happily. They are also a really good price and I love that they come in frozen. I usually prep my guys meals the night before so by the time he eats them they’ve thawed, but I have always given him them frozen and he enjoys them either way.
Kristina Heald Hoogenboom (verified owner) –
Such a good price for 18 eggs! My guy wasn’t sure about them at first but now loves eating them, shells and all. They’re so easy to pop into your pets meal (thawed or frozen) for an extra source of calcium and protein, or as a special treat.
Amanda (verified owner) –
Definitely a staple in our house! The dogs love them thawed or frozen while our cat likes them frozen. Awesome price also!
Debra.Steele (verified owner) –
My guys LOVE these quail eggs. So nutritious for them. Even the cat is getting in on the benefits. She is not all about the shell but she loves the insides so for her I feed them thawed. You can’t beat this price point for 18 quail eggs. You have to order more than one carton.
Lindsay –
Great addition to add into my dogs meal. He loves them and eats them frozen. Excellent source of nutrients and price is very fair
Melissa Goncalves –
The first time I fed these to my dog he’s wasn’t quite sure what to do them with! I tried again the next day and it was a huge hit! I usually serve them frozen (mostly because I forget to take them out of the freezer) but he’s happy to eat them thawed out too.

These eggs are the perfect size for my little dog! I crack a thawed egg open over his food to add some extra nutrients to his meal. I saw some dogs eat the shells too but my guy won’t touch them.

meghaanlee –
My dog doesn’t tolerate chicken very well, so these are a great alternative as he hasn’t had a reaction to them. Whenever I add them to his bowl he eats them up first before anything else.

Our 2 cats love these! They’re a perfect size, and add protein to their meal. They also help with hairballs, and change the consistency of the meat, which the cats love. They are also a great price, and can keep in the freezer for awhile, though it never stays long.
Highly recommended!

My dog loves the quail eggs! They are a perfect addition when balancing out her meals. She use to have issues with chicken eggs and fortunately we have only had good results with the quail eggs. Good value, feeding instructions and easy to keep. (They do sometimes stick to the package however they are ok upon removal).
Shannon –
My dog gets 2 eggs a day with his supper – I supplement his kibble with raw ingredients – and he LOVES them. They are always the second thing to go after he eats his fresh meat/organ/bone addition. He seems to prefer them thawed, but will happily eat them either way.
Mandy Gille –
My 11 month old boxer have just recently switched to a raw diet with he loves and I included quail eggs which he also loves but I see a lot of contradictions on the shells and whether or not they need to be dried in the oven first to avoid possible toxins or salmonella? Can you help me with this?
BigCountryRaw –
Hi Mandy, The concern when feeding egg shells is surrounding the egg having been washed with chemicals. BCR Quail eggs have not been washed and therefore are safe to feed.
Chirp –
A nice treat for our kittens! I mash the eggs (no shell) and the kittens love them. I give them each an egg 2-3 times a week. They’ve been on a partial raw diet since they were 2 months old. They are now 4 months old and very healthy.
Carlene –
My pup Louie loves the quail eggs. I give him thawed, crushed once daily with dinner. The price is fantastic for the amount you get. Thank you BCR!
