Disclaimer: To achieve the Minimal Requirement suggested by The Nutrient Requirement for Dogs and Cats by the National Research Council (NRC), Big Country Raw® strongly recommend supplementing the Blends and the Pures Formulas with Thrive® Trimineral or Thrive® Fortify for vitamins and minerals & Thrive® Herring Oil or Thrive® Hemp Seed Oil for essential fatty acids.

Add Thrive® Fortify as per label to meet the National Research Council (NRC) Nutrient Requirement for Dogs and Cats.   Thrive® Fortify is a blend of essential minerals, vitamins, healthy fats, various greens, and digestive enzymes and is formulated specifically to augment Big Country Raw® Pure Formula and Signature Blend recipes.

Alternatively, Thrive® Sea Kelp or Thrive® Trimineral Boost (a blend of Kelp, Barley Grass, and Spirulina) can be used when feeding a rotational meal plan including 3 or more proteins.

Add Thrive® Herring Oil (the popular choice) or alternatively Thrive® Hemp Seed Oil (plant-based option) for Omega-3 Fatty Acids.   Omega-3 Fatty Acids may improve the shine and luster of the coat, reduce inflammation and aid in the absorption and distribution of essential nutrients.

This is an absolute must each order for us! A favourite with both my dog and cats 🙂 We also love your Duck Necks and Hero Duck Feet treats!

  2. Debra.Steele

I rotate between the Duck Dinner and Pure Duck. It is often included in our monthly order. I don’t think the dogs even take time to breath when there is duck in their bowls. They love it! It’s a good protein to rotate into their diet.

  3. SandraBlais1133

    My cat enjoys this protein

  4. @bigbartok

  5. Kristina Heald Hoogenboom (verified owner)

It’s great to have another poultry protein along with chicken, turkey, and quail. My dog enjoys duck and we usually have it in the freezer.

  6. Graeme Walker

This is a must when ordering for my dog. He enjoys everything duck in meat and treat form! Great to more options other than just chicken and turkey.

  7. Jessica Littlejohn (verified owner)

Pure duck is a favourite in our house. Perfect for dogs with allergies!

  8. Alisha Lane

Both my dogs go crazy for this product! I sometimes put it in a ice tray with coconut oil for treats ☺️

  9. Alex Wolf

Probably my cats favorite protein so far. We haven’t tried them out yet, but the duck is definitely a winner. They eat it like they’ve never eaten before. It helped my smaller cat to gain some weight a little since she liked it so much, which is not a bad thing (not underweight, just a small cat). I use the duck whenever I want them to eat a little more. They would it everyday if they had the chance.
    Highly recommended!

  10. sonjers

This is a regular in our pup’s bowl! He absolutely loves it!

  11. feetpeet

My dog loves the duck, it is definitely an essential part of our rotation.

  12. hui0414

This is one of the proteins I include in my girl’s rotation. She is allergic to chicken and beef, duck is a relatively more hypoallergenic protein and I’m glad i can get it easily from BCR.
