Feeding Guide
Add Thrive® Fortify as per label to meet the National Research Council (NRC) Nutrient Requirement for Dogs and Cats. Thrive® Fortify is a blend of essential minerals, vitamins, healthy fats, various greens, and digestive enzymes and is formulated specifically to augment Big Country Raw® Pure Formula and Signature Blend recipes.
Add Thrive® Herring Oil (the popular choice) or alternatively Thrive® Hemp Seed Oil (plant-based option) for Omega-3 Fatty Acids. Omega-3 Fatty Acids may improve the shine and luster of the coat, reduce inflammation and aid in the absorption and distribution of essential nutrients.
SAFE RAW FOOD HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS:
- Keep food frozen and thaw in refrigerator until ready to use.
- Raw food must be used within 3 days after thawing
- Return unused food back to the refrigerator after serving.
- Serve in stainless steel or ceramic dishes.
- Wash all work surfaces, utensils, serving spoons and hands with hot water & soap after handling raw meat & poultry.

It was really important to me to introduce one protein at a time to our 14yo cat when we transitioned him to a raw diet. I wasn’t sure if the years of eating pet “food” had caused any dietary issues or not.
Thankfully, he’s been able to tolerate a few things so far and this chicken has been a huge hit both on its own or mixed with some salmon.
Having the pure options has been so helpful in figuring out what he can and cannot eat and will be very useful when I start making blends for him with his tolerated proteins once we finish introducing them all! For example he cannot tolerate the lamb in the the turkey, salmon, lamb signature blend, but with pure options, I can buy turkey, salmon and pork separately and weigh and mix the three proteins myself and then refreeze into his correct portion size! The packaging and portions make doing this very easy!
