We recommend adding one of the following Thrive oils for omega-3s:
Thrive Herring Oil - 1LThrive Salmon Oil - 500mlThrive Hemp Seed Oil - 500 mLAt Big Country Raw, our goal is to use real, fresh ingredients as much as possible! Because of this, we have to account variability in our raw ingredients, including seasonal and supply variation. The value we share take that variability into account, and because of that, we test our ingredients and recipes regularly.
Big Country Raw Dinner Recipes for dogs and puppies provide complete and balanced nutrition for pets, substantiated by an extended AAFCO Feeding Trial. Recipes are formulated to meet the nutrient requirements suggested by The Nutrient Requirement for Dogs by the National Research Council (NRC) and follow the Minimal Requirement (Amount / 1000kcal for growing puppies after weaning and adult dogs). The addition of an Omega-3 Fatty Acid, such as Thrive Herring Oil, Salmon Oil, or Hemp Seed Oil (with the exception of Fish Dinner), is recommended to be added for their beneficial impact on overall health, especially for growing puppies.
We recommend adding a Thrive® Oil to Big Country Raw Dinners.
Add Thrive® Herring Oil (the popular choice) or alternatively Thrive® Hemp Seed Oil (plant-based option) for Omega-3 Fatty Acids. Omega-3 Fatty Acids may improve the shine and luster of the coat, reduce inflammation and aid in the absorption and distribution of essential nutrients.

This is a great protein to rotate into your dog’s diet if they have poultry sensitivities! It does have a unique smell, but that just makes my dog enjoy it more! (It isn’t a gross smell, just unique)
UNDER MY WING – Pug Rescue (verified owner) –
One the favorite for our pugs with skin issues, they all do very well on the lamb dinner.

When you cook any meat, that’s when you can judge the quality… and when you cook this lamb, you have to open all the windows in the house… it smells sooooo bad ! But both my dogs enjoyed it.
Jimbenedict –
Raymond you should not cook this, dogs can not eat cooked bones.
Kim Castle –
Raymond why would you cook it? Please don’t
