Disclaimer: Feed in moderate amount, 2-3 times a week. Feeding exclusively fish protein for a long period of time may cause coagulation concerns, due to the high omega-3 and vitamin D content. Fish Dinner is always recommended to be fed in rotation with other proteins. Big Country Raw® follows the Minimal Requirement (Amount/1000kcal for Growing Puppies After Weaning & Adults Dogs) suggested by The Nutrient Requirement for Dogs and Cats by the National Research Council (NRC). For the nutrients P, Na, K, I, Co, Mn, and Vit A, E, D & B group (no minimum requirement provided) recipes match the NRC Recommended Allowance. For Essential Fatty Acids (LA, ALA, EPA, DHA), we strongly suggest adding fish, Thrive® Herring Oil or Thrive® Hemp Seed Oil to meet the NRC Recommended Allowances.

Add Thrive® Herring Oil (the popular choice) or alternatively Thrive® Hemp Seed Oil (plant-based option) for Omega-3 Fatty Acids.   Omega-3 Fatty Acids may improve the shine and luster of the coat, reduce inflammation and aid in the absorption and distribution of essential nutrients.

Stinky yet satisfying! Not oily, and well ground up. A favorite for my 2 Doberman.

  2. Louise Milmore

My boxer dog who is 11 years old is having a heart desease. He also has poultry allergy. I started the fish dinner raw food and he feels way much better than with dry food full of grains and rice. His digestion is better. He has more energy, his fur coat looks shinier.

  3. Kristina Heald Hoogenboom (verified owner)

One of the only meals that is complete from BCR. You don’t need to add anything. The different fish are packed full of omega 3’s and there’s already fruits and veggies in the mix too. Just scoop and serve!

  4. Melissa Goncalves

Unfortunately this was one of the only ones my dog wasn’t a fan of. I don’t think he was a fan of the texture. This one, I find, is a lot more mushy then the rest. So if you’re dog is like mine and doesn’t prefer a mushy texture, I would suggest feeding when still partly frozen (more firm). So unfortunate as it’s so full of omegas!

  5. Danielle

Love this complete meal. Fish dinner is always part of our weekly rotation. Full of omegas this fish dinner has made my dogs coats super shiny and soft. Highly recommend.

  6. G

Fish dinner was the only thing my dog could have becauase of allergies and now he cant because theres beef liver in it.. I cant feed him the pure salmon because its too rich and gives him loose stools. They need to make dinners that are allergy friendly and 1 protien source..

    • Geraldine Brouwer

Thank you for your feedback. Our dinner formula’s do not require the addition of organ meat to make this a balanced meal with all the essential nutrients your dog require. Our pure formulas are all singular proteins and more suited for pets with specific protein allergies. Our Turkey Salmon Lamb may be a good alternative to try as this does not contain beef.

  7. meghaanlee

I absolutely LOVE this product. I began mixing 1lbs of the Fish Dinner with another pound of a different protein for each of my dog’s meals – not only does he gobble it up right away, but his coat has become so much softer and shiny over the past few weeks. He is double coated & doesn’t get greasy or smelly at all since making this a staple in his diet. Highly recommend!

  8. Roxannec

J’utilise les repas de poisson pour compléter leur formule qui n’en contiennent pas.mes deux chiens en raffolent!

  9. KrystenKT

I don’t often buy the 4lb Fish Dinner carton, since I usually stick to the 24lb Grab & Go options, but when I do, Teddy LOVES it! As a pet parent, I love that this formula is complete and doesn’t need any additional supplementation. It may be stinky, but it’s worth it to rotate in every once in a while!

  10. @pincessecarbone

Le Repas de poisson est un ajout stratégique dans la gamelle de mes chiens. Les Omega3 et bons gras sont bénéfique pour eux. Un de nos chats en raffole aussi!

  11. Nadine Lussier

When there is fish for dinner, my dog goes crazy. So convinient as I don’t even have to add fish oil or other supplement. I can sit back and just relax… for 30 secondes!

Disappointed that it has beef in it. Cats love it but one has a severe chicken and beef allergy 🙁 A fish dinner without beef would be a nice option guys!
