Talking About Raw to Veterinarians
Whether you’re already a Big Country Raw customer or a veterinary professional who has seen pets that would benefit from a diet change, we want to give you the tools to be confident to start the conversation about raw feeding. In many veterinary circles, raw feeding is discouraged and clients that feed their pets a raw diet may never mention it to their vet. Alternatively, because it seems taboo, your veterinarian might hesitate to suggest raw as an alternative for a pet that just isn’t thriving on a kibble diet.
We’ve created this information sheet for you to download and print to hopefully answer some of the questions, and even clear up some misinformation surrounding the benefits of a raw food diet. We’ve recently launched a Partner in Pet Health & Nutrition program for veterinarians who are supportive of, or open to learning more about the benefits of feeding a Big Country Raw diet. If you are or know of a veterinarian who might be interested becoming a part of this program, please let us know and we can reach out to them. If you are a veterinarian, keep reading! And, as always, if you would like to talk to one of our knowledgeable pet nutrition experts, we’re available by phone at 905-957-2717 or email to info@bigcountryraw.ca.
