Big Country Pet Co. Places No. 401 on The Globe and Mail’s seventh annual ranking of Canada’s Top Growing Companies
Smithville, ON – Big Country Pet Co. is pleased to announce it has ranked No. 401 on the 2025 Report on Business magazine’s ranking of Canada’s Top Growing Companies – the first year featuring the new company name.
Canada’s Top Growing Companies ranks Canadian companies on three-year revenue growth. Big Country Raw earned its spot with three-year growth of 60%.
Big Country Pet Co. is receiving this distinction for the fifth time (previous distinctions under Big Country Raw)– also having received recognition in 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024 (the company missed the application process in 2021 as Co-Founders Rob and Geraldine welcomed a son the same year).
“We’re deeply grateful to our retail partners for championing the benefits of a fresh food diet, and to the dedicated pet parents who proudly share how fresh food has transformed their pets’ health and wellbeing,” says Geraldine Brouwer, Co-Founder.
“We’re also excited to share that we’ve just opened our brand-new 30,000 sq. ft. cold storage facility to meet the growing demand in this category. Alongside this, we’ve introduced new packaging and fresh recipes designed to make raw feeding more accessible than ever. Every step of our process is built on our commitment to creating a safe, nutritious lineup for Canadian pets.” Says Rob Brouwer, Co-Founder.
Canada’s Top Growing Companies is an editorial ranking that was launched in 2019 to celebrate the achievements of innovative businesses in Canada. To qualify for this voluntary program, companies had to complete an in-depth application process and fulfill revenue requirements.
The full list of 2025 winners, along with editorial coverage, is published in the October issue of Report on Business magazine. The list is out now and online here.
