At Big Country Raw, our goal is to use real, fresh ingredients as much as possible! Because of this, we have to account variability in our raw ingredients, including seasonal and supply variation. The value we share take that variability into account, and because of that, we test our ingredients and recipes regularly.
Keep raw bones frozen until ready to use. TIP: Offering raw bones frozen may help to prevent gulping from eager eaters, and will extend the chew time for a more enjoyable chew.
To thaw, we recommend thawing in a refrigerator for at least 6 to 12 hrs. Once thawed we recommend serving within 3 days. Not intended for human consumption.
Raw bones may pose a potential hazard to dogs and cats. Always supervise your pet when feeding raw bones.
Ideal chewing technique should include removal of the meat, cartilage and sinews without fully consuming the bone. Forceful chewing that results in cracking the bone may increase risks of choking and the potential for tooth fractures. Once the bare bone is visible, we suggest discarding the bone. Not intended for human consumption.

My dog loves gnawing away at these bones. It helps clean his teeth, gums and keep bath breath at bay. I give it to him frozen and it keeps him busy for a while. Once he gets the marrow out of the middle then I put the bone back in the freezer and use it another day with some Peanut Buddy in the hole. Once the sinews are all stripped, I discard the bone.

Our Great Danes loves gnawing away at these bones. At first I thought the larger ones would be great for him, but he can only get about an inch of the marrow out on each side and then is uninterested. With these we always serve frozen and watch him close. He starts by ripping the sinews off, then getting the marrow out and lastly chews on the bone a bit. We then toss it as it could be a choking hazard for him with such a large mouth.. but again we do watch and he loves the smaller ones. It helps clean his teeth, gums and keep bath breath at bay.

Perfect size for our Cavalier King Charles. The ones from the butcher shop are far too big so it was great to find this smaller size. When supplementing with marrow you need to be aware of the added calories so having a small size for a little dog is ideal. They are roughly 1 inch segments and provide hours of chewing enjoyment. We wash the empty bones and freeze them filled with bone broth in summer for a cool snack (served outside is best).

Took my pup a bit to get into them. At first he wouldn’t go near it but now he gets so excited whenever I bring a thawed one out of the fridge! Be sure your dog keeps it off any important furniture as it can be a little messy.

Our pup loves these marrow bones straight from the freezer! They last her for quite a bit (60 mins or so) to clean out the inside of them. Great summer treat on hot days.

These are the perfect size for my toy poodle as theyre not to big but not small enough for her mouth to get caught in it. She walks around quite proudly with it before finding her spot to lay down and enjoy.

Great for cats too! My kitten coon is teething and has been gnawing on everything from corners of wooden furniture to the plastic corners of his window perch. I’ve tried frozen raw treats but he would tear into them and gobble them up 5-10mins flat, so I took a chance with these small bones and they’re a hit! We get about an hour of relief! The cat’s happy; I’m happy:)
